A couple swinging from tradition and modernity, a tiny church in the coutryside and a venue trasformed to host a vintage fair inspired wedding.
Ready for Marina and Giacomo's wedding?
The inspiration
For this couple made of contrasts and similarities, we designed a wedding based on what Giacomo and Marina loved the most. Yet, we tries to show how their own uniqueness creates something magical when they're together.
From Giacomo, we took rationality and the love for traditions, but also his wish to have fun and taking good care of his guests... Along with his passion for Ireland and Braveheart movie...!
From Marina, we took her wish to be a modern and refined bride, but also her spontaneity and her bold attitude.
Marina, the bride
Not quite the classical bride. Marina surprised us for her subtle elegance and her explosive requests...like bringing a vintage luna-park into her wedding reception!
A detail we totally adored has surely been Marina's heels and their story: a pair of 50s pumps that was wore by Marina's grandma at her own wedding day. A wonderful borrowed thing!
Giacomo, the groom
Precise and organised, Giacomo actively gave his contribution through the whole wedding planning... We made a real dream team!
One curiosity on the groom's suit: this made to measure suit has been realised by a tailor maker in Udine that, in the past, had amongst its clients even the famous Italian poet Gabriele D'Annunzio. This man was a real dandy, and the model Giacomo has chosen was the same D'Annunzio often got for himself.
The ceremony - Sant'Eufemia Church, Segnacco
For their marriage, Marina and Giacomo chose a tiny church on the hills, similar to the ones you can find wandering through the English countryside.
For this reason, we designed a minimalist, simple and intimate ceremony.
The bride's arrival, on an old Impala drove by her father was a show stopper!
In Italy, we throw rice at the end of the ceremony to wish good luck to the newlyweds. These cones were also enriched by lavender buds...what a nice perfume!
While the guests started to go to the venue, Marina and Giacomo had their first time together as wife and husband...
The reception - La Taverna, Colloredo di Montalbano
A rich aperitivo, a wonderful garden and great music: all was ready for an unforgettable celebration.
At sunset, the tableau escorted guests to sit. Where did we get the inspiration from? To the pubs the couple visited during their trips.
The real vintage fair wedding
After dinner, the real party can start: a line up of live bands, with a perfectly pub-styled beer bar.
The main character? Surely the luna-park that made Marina and Giacomo's wedding a true vintage fair.
Marina and Giacomo's wedding has really been a roller-coaster of emotions, smiles, songs and surprises... such as the video made by the maid of honor and the groomsman, with all wedding wishes from people who couldn't be there.
...Or the throwing of the bouquet, caught by the mother of the bride!
