Welcome to Irena and Andrea's wedding.
The first time we met Irena and Andrea in our office, we immediately felt they were a real world citizens couple, yet with very strong roots.
Choosing a location that honored the origins of the bride (who grew up right in San Floriano del Collio) and finding a setting that could allow the guests, coming from 13 different countries around the world, to discover the beauty of Friuli, immediately made us think about Baronesse Tacco, while the bilingual Catholic ceremony was hosted in the royal Monastery of Castagnevizza (where the daughter of Queen Marie Antoinette, who arrived in Gorizia in exile in 1836, is buried).
In order to help Irena and Andrea, constantly travelling, we have set up a tailor-made schedule for their needs, taking into account time zones, work availability and returns to Italy, optimizing everything, and also cultivating a relationship of trust with them, which eventually led us to become true friends.
The style of the wedding: elegant, simple and with a glimpse of rustic
Irena and Andrea's requests for their destination wedding at Baronesse Tacco were immediately very clear: the style of their wedding should have been elegant, simple and with a rustic glimpse, harmoniously in accordance with the venue of the reception.
This is why we immediately designed for them a setting up in natural whites and greens, incorporating materiality thanks to the use of wood, rope and kraft paper, with the aim of creating a romantic setting, with no frills but also warm and welcoming.
The preparations
The preparations of these bride and groom, infused with surprising serenity, helped to create, also for the team, a place of harmony and tranquility, where professionalism could express itself at its best.
We always recommend one thing to our couples, and it's to be present in the here and now, and enjoy every moment, as precious as it it. This is even more true for an the afternoon ceremony (especially recommended for summer weddings!) which, allowing calmer and longer preparations, gives to the couple the opportunity to take it easier and relax longer.
The ceremony
Can a traditional ceremony be highly personalized?
It surely can, for Irena and Andrea who, besides having a bilingual ceremony in Italian and Slovenian, asked to some of their guests from different religions to bless them in their language and with their rituals. That has been a beautiful and intense moment, where you could actually perceive true Love.
So, is the ceremony made only of big emotions? Not only.
As always, we suggest to the spouses, according to their personalities, to add a funny whimsical touch, focusing on details.
In this case, Irena definitely surprised everyone on her arrival!
The reception at Baronesse Tacco
Full of life, joy, love, Irena and Andrea's reception was designed to be Home. A place to gather old friends from all over the world and for one evening all in the same place. How magical is that?

When planning a destination wedding (spouses, including Italians, who come - or return - to Italy from abroad to get married) a very important part must be dedicated to the management and care of the guests.
For Irena and Andrea's guests, we created a website in coordination with the graphics of the invitation and the stationery, not only including all the useful information, for example those relating to the hotels and the structure of the day, but also creating a real travel guide, with personalized advice on what to visit and where to eat.
Destination wedding: a matter of hospitality
A lot of couples who have guests from afar often ask us the question of what to do with regards to hospitality management, which can become a burdensome voice in the economy of marriage or even be perceived as constricting by the guest (we already talked about it here). What we usually suggest is to ease the guests by selecting one (or more, if you have many guests and the facilities have few places) valid solution in the area and agreeing with the facility a dedicated rate for one or more group bookings by a certain date, leaving the guests free to choose.
Destination wedding: a matter of transport
Very important, in case of a destination wedding, is to organize a shuttle service at least for the entire wedding day, with pick-up service from the various hotels towards the ceremony, from the ceremony to the reception location and back to the hotels, late at night. This will allow all guests not to have to worry about driving in a foreign country, especially after having fully enjoyed the party… A great relief!
